The Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center’s non-emergency line is receiving calls from Verizon customers again following a nationwide issue Wednesday morning.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported the issue was resolved shortly after 2 p.m.

Earlier in the day, Verizon customers calling the non-emergency and administrative lines could not get through.

When the calls were placed, the phone would ring and the caller gets a message saying “All circuits are busy.” The 911 lines were not affected by the issue.

“We extend our gratitude to our residents for their patience and understanding during the resolution process. As always, the safety and well-being of the community remain our top priority,” the sheriff’s office said.

Verizon customers can continue calling the non-emergency line, 937-225-4357 (HELP), for assistance.

Multiple law enforcement agencies throughout Ohio and the U.S. reported similar issues Wednesday. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Macedonia Police Department also said Verizon customers were not able to get through to non-emergency lines.
