Power has been restored for most of the nearly 3,000 area customers who were without power this afternoon, according to the AES Ohio website’s power outage map.

Most of the current outages were in Greene County, but a few areas in Montgomery County are still facing a power outage, according to the website.

More than 100 Greene County residents remain without electricity, according to the website’s map.

A cross-arm broken by overnight weather caused the outages, an AES Ohio spokesperson said. The pole has to be replaced, and crews are working on resolving the issue, the spokesperson said.

Power was mostly restored between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

Power for remaining areas is expected to be restored between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., according to the Ohio AES website.
