This will follow a handful of acts recently posted on the Fraze’s website. They include rock band George Thorogood & The Destroyers, the Led Zeppelin tribute band Get the Led Out, and Christian band We The Kingdom.
Those musical groups are among the “rolling booking and announcements” that are expected to include about 45 events at the city-owned 4,300-seat outdoor venue from late May to early September, according to Mary Beth O’Dell, the city’s parks, recreation and cultural arts director.
Last month the Fraze announced concerts featuring hip-hop artist Nelly, Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen, the Happy Together Tour and longtime local favorites The Menus. The Nelly performance is sold out.
The city said in December that ticket operations were being re-examined after the vast majority of them were bought online in 2022. But O’Dell said in an email that she expects “no operational changes” this year at the Fraze or its FanFare site at Town & Country Shopping Center.
Dates and times for the new concert additions include:
• Lt. Dan’s New Legs, 8 p.m. July 7, $5 concert series.
• George Thorogood, 8 p.m., July 15, tickets $40-$65.
• We The Kingdom, 7:30 p.m. July 24, tickets $35 to $48.50.
• Art on the Commons, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 13. Free.
• Get the Led Out, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 16, tickets $26-$30.
• EcoFEST, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 16. Free.
Tickets for paying events go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 18 and prices increase $5 on the day of the show. There is a limit of four tickets each on the first day of sale.
