The bodies of two Ohioans in their 50s were recovered Tuesday evening from a pickup truck submerged in a Clinton County lake.

Crews searched the water at Cowan Lake State Park near Wilmington after two adults were reported missing, said David Roorbach, public information officer for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The two were identified Wednesday as Kendrick Scott Jesionowski, 50, of Kenton and Lisa Lynne Reiss, 57, of Marysville, according to the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.

The ODNR sought dive team assistance after identifying an area of interest about 10 feet under water.

Crews brought a tow truck to pull a pickup truck out of the lake. The two bodies were found inside the vehicle.

The names of the two people whose bodies were recovered have not been released.

The ODNR is leading the investigation with assistance from the coroner’s office.

The Loveland-Symmes Task Force 1 dive team and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office also assisted the ODNR at the scene.

The two missing people were not identified.

The lake is popular for swimming, fishing and kayaking, according to the ODNR website.
