27-year-old killed, man critically injured after Greene County crash

One person is dead and another was flown to the hospital with critical injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Greene County Tuesday evening.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post, the crash was reported at 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of Wilberforce-Clifton Road and Charleton Mill Road in Xenia Twp.

A 2003 Dodge Durango was going southwest on Wilberforce Clifton Road when it went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, utility box, traffic sign post and guardrail.

The Durango then crossed over the road and hit a ditch, going airborne before hitting another ditch and overturning in a field, according to OSHP.

Two passengers were ejected from the Durango.

Luv L. Phillips, 27, of Xenia, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to OSHP. A 20-year-old Xenia man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by air ambulance with critical injuries.

The driver and a third passenger were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Xenia Twp. Fire and EMS, CareFlight & Mobile Services, Greene County Coroner’s Office and Sandy’s Towing assisted troopers at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
