Man taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries in Trotwood crash

A man was taken to the hospital with possible serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Trotwood a little after midnight Tuesday.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 12:25 a.m. to the 200 block of East Main Street in Trotwood on a report of a two-vehicle crash with one person injured, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center records.

A 2005 Saturn Ion was going west on East Main Street at a high rate of speed when the man driving lost control, according to a crash report filed by the Trotwood Police Department. The Saturn hit the back of a 1999 Chevrolet S-10.

The driver of the Saturn, a 37-year-old Fairborn man, was trapped in the car and was removed using mechanical means, according to the crash report. He was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

It was not clear if anyone in the truck was injured.
