The proposed store is just over 2,500 square feet and includes a drive-thru with space for 9 cars and 50 parking spaces, per documents submitted to the city’s planning commission. These plans also include a sidewalk on the east side of the property, “to create a more connected, pedestrian-friendly mall development,” documents say.
Panda Express is a fast-casual Asian-American food chain that operates more than 2,400 stores worldwide, and is known for its Kung Pao chicken, orange chicken, Beijing beef and other dishes.
The applicant for the Beavercreek store is Heights Venture, based in Plano, Texas.
Headquartered in California, Panda Express currently has four Miami Valley locations: one in Dayton, one in Washington Twp. as well as locations in Cedarville and Springfield. Panda Express’ Springfield location opened in October last year.
The city’s planning commission has greenlit the project, which will next go to city council for approval.
