Serious injuries suspected after 2 thrown from car that crashed into Dayton house

Serious injuries are suspected after two people were thrown from a crash that crash into a Dayton house on South Smithville Road just after midnight Thursday.

A Dayton woman was driving south in the 2600 block of South Smithville Road and lost control of the car, crossing the center median and into the northbound lanes, according to a crash report filed by Dayton police.

The car then left the road and crashed into a house, throwing the woman and male passenger from the car.

Neither were wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.

The man and woman were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.

Dayton police are continuing to investigate. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the report.
