The building was damaged in a November 2023 fire that required several departments to respond.
Built in 1970, the building had nearly 28,000 square feet of space, Montgomery County Auditor’s Office records show. The building had housed various businesses over the years, including Corbus LLC, whose name featured prominently on its side.
The owner of the site is listed as as Warrior Properties in auditor’s office records and on demo permits submitted to the city of West Carrollton. That company shares the same address on Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek as Soin LLC, which is “a private multinational holding company that provides strategic management, administrative systems and financial support to a diverse array of subsidiaries and affiliates,” according to its website.
The history of Corbus LLC stretches back decades. In 1984, Raj and Indu Soin started Modern Technologies Corporation. In 1994, MTC’s Global Technologies division branched off to become Corbus LLC, and that group moved from Miami Twp. to West Carrollton last decade.
Calls to Soin LLC, Corbus LLC and Warrior Properties inquiring about what might be planned for the high-profile site at I-75 and Ohio 725 were not returned. West Carrollton city officials said they have not received any applications to build on the property.
