Showers, patchy dense fog possible through this evening

Expect more rain into tonight with patchy dense fog through the evening that could reduce visibility to a quarter-mile or less.

Rain and wind could improve visibility, though rain chances taper off by midnight. It will be cloudy with an overnight low around 45 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Friday will be cloudy with a high near 49 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy Friday night, which will have an overnight low around 38 degrees.

Saturday will be cloudy with a high near 46 degrees. There is a chance of rain after 1 p.m., with rain likely Saturday night. The overnight low will be around 36 degrees.

Rain is likely before 1 p.m. Sunday, which will be cloudy and breezy with a high near 40 degrees.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 39 degrees. Skies will remain mostly cloudy Monday night, which will have an overnight low around freezing.

There is a chance of rain Tuesday, which otherwise will be partly sunny with a high near 45 degrees.

The rest of the week is expected to stay dry and mild until the next system pushes in to the area late Saturday.
