Miami County Coroner Dr. Bill Ginn identified the woman who died following a crash between a John Deere tractor and Nissan as an 83-year-old Greenville woman.

The cause and manner of death have not been determined for Tina L. Streuver at this time.

Streuver, who was driving the Nissan, was initially transported to Upper Valley Medical Center where she died from injuries, according to a public information log from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

She suffered a head wound and a compound fracture to her leg, Ginn said.

The crash was reported at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 36 and state Route 721.

An investigation determined that the tractor was heading south on state Route 721 and entered the path of the Nissan heading east on U.S. 36.

“It was determined neither the tractor, nor oncoming Nissan were able to avoid the collision,” the log read.

The driver of the tractor was evaluated on the scene by Bradford Fire and EMS and then released.

The crash is under investigation. We will continue to update this story as more information.
