One person died Friday evening following a crash in Dayton that sent three passengers to the hospital.

Montgomery County Coroner’s Office said Terrell Dean, a 22-year-old man from Dayton, was identified as the deceased victim. He died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

Two were ejected from the car, including Dean and a 14-year-old girl, according to a crash report filed by the Dayton Police Department. She was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with possible serious injuries. Two other passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, were also transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.

The crash was reported around 5:43 p.m. Friday on state Route 4 near Harshman Road. Dean was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu north at an excessive speed when he lost control of the vehicle and drove off the left side of the road, according to the report. It is not clear how fast the car was going when it crashed.

The car went into median and flipped before crossing the lanes heading in the opposite direction and coming to a stop in a ditch.

The Riverside Fire Department responded and assisted the Dayton Police Department at the scene.
