“It was coming in to land and the nose gear gave out,” said Linda Hughes, air services manager. “There were no injuries.”
Commercial flights were halted for about 30 minutes after the twin-engine Cessna six-seater crash-landed around 3 p.m. on runway 24L, she said.
Four people were aboard for the flight destined for Dayton. The nose gear collapsed when the aircraft was roughly 1,000 feet down the runway, Hughes said.
The fixed-wing Cessna 310N manufactured in 1967 is registered to Hurd Aviation LLC of Lexington, Kentucky, according to the Federal Aviation Administration registry.
It was not immediately clear where the flight originated, Hughes said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
