Some city waste collections schedules will be affected by Juneteenth holiday hours

Dayton residents -- it’s easy to use City of Dayton’s waste collection service to send recyclable materials from your home to the recycling center (and there’s no additional charge for waste collection customers).

The City of Dayton will be observing Juneteenth holiday this week which will affect waste collection schedules in Dayton, Moraine and Jefferson Twp.

The garbage and recycling collection normally scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, June 20, and garbage and recycling collection normally scheduled for Thursday will occur on Friday, June 21 in Dayton.

Moraine’s garbage and recycling collection will occur on Saturday, June 22.

In Jefferson Twp., garbage collection normally scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, June 20, and garbage collection normally scheduled for Thursday will occur on Friday, June 21. Bulk and recycling collection will occur on Saturday, June 22.

Customers are reminded to have containers at collection points by 6:30 a.m. of collection day. Collection times may vary based on staffing levels.
