The threat was called in around 6:30 p.m., said Miami County Sheriff’s Lt. Chris Bobb, who did not specify the threat made.
According to a Miami County Sheriff’s Office log, a bomb threat was called in at the football game at 6:29 p.m.
“After initial investigation, no valid threats were located,” the log read. “This case is pending further investigation.”
After about 45 minutes, Bobb said the players, other students, staff and fans were able to return to the stadium for the game that was supposed to start at 7 p.m.
The Bethel High School Bees defeated the Lehman Catholic High School Cavaliers, 21-17.
The threat remains under investigation, Bobb said.
Wayne High School in Huber Heights was briefly on lockdown Thursday after a threat was made on social media towards the school by a person not believed to be connected to the school, Superintendent Mario Basora said.
