“We are excited to have Councilman Pearson join the Trotwood City Council,” said City Manager Quincy Pope. “His vast knowledge and experience will b a huge asset as we continue to grow and move our city forward.”
Pearson will take his oath of office prior to the council meeting on Monday, Feb. 3.
He will serve the remainder of Vaughn’s unexpired term, which ends Dec. 31, 2025. To remain seated, Pearson will need to run for a new, full term on council.
Pearson is currently employed as a family specialist for the Trotwood-Madison City School District.
He most recent previous job experience includes time as a facility supervisor with the Montgomery County Juvenile Court Center for Adolescent Services, from which he retired, and the Nicholas Residential Treatment Center, where he served as a youth leader.
“Councilman Pearson’s extensive experience in working with people to improve their environment has prepared him for this role,” said Mayor Yvette Page. “His dedication to promoting positive relationships will be a huge asset to our residents.”
Pearson was one of five applicants considered for the council position.
