A 16-inch water main break near the border of Dayton and Jefferson Twp. is under control, according to Montgomery County officials.

The water main break was reported Thursday morning at the intersection of Dayton Liberty Pike and Germantown Pike.

While it affected traffic, the water main did not result in a loss of water service and no boil advisory is needed, according to the county.

Salt crews treated the area for icy roads this morning.
