The sheriff’s office said that early investigation found that Brandy Bercaw, 46, of Union City was driving a white 2017 Ram truck northbound on Route 49 when she drove left of the center line and off the left side of the road, moving through the ditch before crashing into a creek bank and coming to a stop in the water.
Crews took Bercaw to Wayne Healthcare, and she was later transported to Miami Valley Hospital due to her injuries.
The sheriff’s office said that drugs were believed to be a factor in the crash.
Deputies were joined on scene by Arcanum Rescue and the Arcanum Fire Department, the release said.
