Huber Heights woman dies after vehicle leaves I-70, crashes into river in Clark County

A Huber Heights woman died in a crash in Clark County after an SUV went off Interstate 70 and into Mad River Friday morning.

Dorinda Leigh Criddell, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 6:18 a.m. on I-70 East near Ohio 235 in Mad River Twp., near Greene and Montgomery counties.

Criddell was driving a 2012 Toyota RAV4 east on I-70 when the SUV went off the right side of the highway and into Mad River, according to troopers.

No other injuries were reported.

The right two lanes on I-70 East were blocked as crews investigated.

Mad River Twp. and Bethel Twp. fire and EMS, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Water Rescue, Ohio Department of Transportation and Clark County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.

OSHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
