Boyd, 43, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. He also was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, three counts of having weapons while under disability for a prior offense of violence and misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and assault, court records show.
An arrest warrant was issued for Howard, 39, who was not immediately in custody.
Boyd has been in the Montgomery County Jail since his Jan. 2 arrest at his home by Dayton police.
The charges stem from incidents reported to have happened between Dec 31, 2020, and Jan. 2, according to the indictment.
On Dec. 31, three people left a group home in Clayton and were offered a ride by a man identified as Howard, who reportedly also offered them an alcoholic drink and took them to a house in the 1700 block of Kensington Drive in Dayton, according to an affidavit and statement of facts filed in Dayton Municipal Court.
While at the home, Boyd gave two of the reported victims marijuana, crack cocaine and acid. He also engaged in sexual activity with the same two and then paid them, the statement read.
Sometime between New Year’s Eve and Jan. 2, the three victims were involved in a crash while driving Boyd’s vehicle.
“As a result of this accident, Boyd physically assaulted [one of the victims] and placed a gun to the rear of her head and lower back and made verbal threats to [her],” read an affidavit. “[Another victim] was in the basement at the order of Boyd and attempted to exit the basement during this assault but was aggressively stopped by Boyd and ordered back into the basement.”
Police obtained a search warrant for the house and recovered three guns, 540 grams of suspected cocaine and 492 grams of marijuana.
