“Affordable” may be a necessary adjective in your equation, but what if you could add the “cool” factor?
Kelley Blue Book, known for its vehicle valuation system, recently released its list of the top cool cars under $20,000.
The list features several 2021 model cars and SUVs with values based on Kelley Blue Book’s Fair Purchase Price. In addition to affordability, the folks at Kelley considered these questions: “Is it fun? Is it stylish? Does it make you smile?” And addressing the intersection of “affordable” and “cool,” the report also looks at versatility and technological capabilities.
Because new vehicle prices right now average more than $40,000, to get a model for less than half that amount is quite a bargain.
Although money expert Clark Howard prefers to buy used vehicles, he sees the attraction the latest models may have on a savvy car shopper.
"There are a lot of people who love that new vehicle smell, they want that new vehicle, and if it works for you financially that's fine," Clark says on his podcast.
