Air Quality Advisory in effect for parts of Miami Valley; warm weather expected today

There is an Air Quality Advisory in effect from 12 a.m. on Monday to 12 a.m. on Tuesday for Darke, Miami, Clark, Preble, Montgomery and Greene Counties.

The National Weather Service said that levels of ozone concentration in these areas may reach unhealthy levels and encourage people to reduce air pollution in the area by taking a bus, carpooling, biking or walking instead of driving alone, avoiding idling a vehicle and refueling vehicles after 8 p.m.

We can expect sunny weather today with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s. However, tomorrow brings the possibility of rain and thunderstorms.

Today, temperatures will be warm, ranging from highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s. We can expect to see some clouds in the evening.

Tomorrow, there are chances of thunderstorms and showers, especially after 3 p.m., the National Weather Service reported. Highs will be even warmer, with highs in the lower 90s and lows in the lower 70s. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will last until 11 p.m. tomorrow night.

Wednesday, the chance of storms will continue, however the National Weather service said the skies are forecasted to be mostly sunny. Highs will reach the lower 80s and lows will reach around 60 degrees.
