The Jeffree Star makeup arrived from two different locations and one address traced back to a substance abuse halfway house in Albany, New York.
The Kylie Jenner lip gloss was shipped directly from China.
Huey says the products didn't look right - from the labels to the contents.
"The circles are not even complete circles. It just looks kind of cheaply made," said Huey.
Our sister station WSB-TV in Atlanta had the makeup analyzed at Proquality Analytical Labs in Cartersville, Georgia, where chemists compared the items shipped to Huey with genuine products directly from the brand name's website.
The tests revealed dramatic differences- with the counterfeit product containing fillers like talc, not seen in the genuine makeup.
Testers also looked for carcinogens, poisons, and potentially harmful ingredients, but found none.
Government counterfeit watch dogs at Immigration and Customs Enforcement said that's not usually the case.
"The counterfeit products are often contaminated with a variety of industrial materials, toxins, chemicals, things of that nature, and when you get it, you are putting those things on your face, " said ICE spokesman Bryan Cox.
Seventy-four million dollars in fake pharmaceuticals and personal care products were seized by ICE in 2016.
Huey said she's going to steer clear of bargain lookalikes from now on.
"I thought i was getting a good deal online, but now that I've got it, I see why it was so cheap," Huey said.
Kylie Cosmetics said it can only guarantee products sent from authorized retailers.
Jeffree Star did not return requests for comment.
