The shooting was reported in the 1200 block of West Riverview Avenue around 2:40 a.m. after a woman called 911 and said multiple people were shooting.

“There’s a whole lot of people having a shoot out on Negley and Riverview,” she told dispatchers. “You need to get here right now. They are everywhere and they are shooting.”

The woman said that one person involved was in a car on Negley Place and then walked to West Riverview Avenue.

“He came through the house shooting,” she said. “Then somebody returned fire and he took off running down the street. Once he started running I could see he was limping.”

Another woman called 911 and said there was an injured man on her porch with a gun.

“He’s hollering and screaming,” she said. “My son said he saw a little black gun like a 9 mm.”

The woman also told dispatchers that her son said the man had a cut on his forearm.

“He’s on the porch like somebody’s attacking him screaming ‘Help, help, somebody help me please,‘‘” she said.
