Beavercreek Movie Theater Offering Alcohol With Popcorn

A Beavercreek movie theater is giving film fans something new to look for when they go to the lobby: Alcohol.

Rave Motion Pictures at The Greene is selling alcohol in its theaters. Officials are selling beer, wine and a specialty drink in two theaters during late shows on Friday and Saturday nights.

Rave General Manager Craig Worth said, "Customers were walking up asking when and if we could do it. We thought it'd be a great idea. If they want it, we try to do it."

Movie-goers have to be 21 to see the special shows and buy the drinks. Managers said they're giving people what they want, but doing it responsibly.

Worth said, "We do it in a controlled environment so it doesn't affect any families. We offer many shows around that time so people can enjoy a show without it."

Customers said as long as management is working to make sure people drink safely, they're fine.

Scott Goldberg said, "They need to make sure they are checking ID's and following due diligence. As a company it's in their best interest because they'll get shut down quickly if they don't."
