Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders spoke this afternoon in an interview with radio host Jason Michaels on a Primary Day special edition of WHIO AM 1290 and News 95.7

The U.S. Senator from Vermont told Michaels Americans are tired of working longer hours and for lower wages. Sanders said that’s what has started the “revolution” of voters backing him in his quest to beat Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary.

“Blue collar workers are seeing jobs being sent to China and Mexico. And they are tired of all new wealth and income going to the top one percent in this county,” Sanders said.

Sanders said Super PACs are buying elections and pointed at the biggest difference between him and Clinton was the backing PACs were giving the former Secretary of State.

Sanders said voters should back him because polls show him leading the Republican front runner if an fall election occurred between the two.

“Bernie Sanders is the strongest candidate to beat Donald Trump,” Sanders said.

WHIO AM was the only local station with an interview with Donald Trump this morning.
