Air Force Museum joins other facilities in deciding to close temporarily

Many facilities have decided to take precautionary measures as the coronavirus pandemic continues, including the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

The museum is closing temporarily beginning March 15.

“All events and activities scheduled at the museum have been cancelled or postponed until further notice,” they said in a release.

“The museum will re-evaluate its closure status on a week to week basis and will provide the latest updates on the museum website and social media sites.”

The facility is continuing its heritage stewardship duties and work with Air Force leadership to minimize risk to its personnel and their families, they said.

The National Aviation Hall of Fame will also be closed for the time being.
