The Dayton Bomb Squad, called by police, X-rayed the packages. While that was occurring, police spoke with the shipping agent by phone, the captain said.
The all-clear has been given and business at the travel stop has returned to normal.
FIRST REPORT
A suspicious package delivered to the Love's Travel Stop at I-70 and state Route 41 has the Dayton Bomb Squad on scene to investigate.
Springfield fire and police were sent to the 20-acre site at 4725 S. Charleston Pike just after 3 p.m. after the delivery by FedEx, a Springfield Police Division sergeant tells us.
The Dayton Bomb Squad was dispatched to investigate the package, the sergeant said.
