NEW INFO: 18 year old found in alley was shot in head, ruled homicide

UPDATE @ 3:10 p.m.: (May 8):

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has determined 18-year-old Jaquan Miller was shot at least once in the head. His death has been ruled a homicide.

His body was found in an alley behind 700 Ferguson Avenue in Dayton.

There is no new information on the search for a killer in the case.

An 18-year-old whose body was found inside a vehicle Friday night was identified as Jaquan Miller, Dayton police said.

UPDATE @ 12:58 p.m. (May 5):

Dayton police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old man found in an alley behind the 700 block of Ferguson Avenue Friday as a homicide.

The man’s identity has not been released by the Montgomery County Coroner’s office as of Saturday afternoon.

A passerby walking through the alley behind Ferguson noticed the victim laying in his Chevrolet Impala and called 911 at 8:25 p.m.

The caller described the victim as “slumped down in his seat” with “blood all over his face.”

Police have not named any suspects.

INITIAL REPORT:

Dayton police have launched an investigation in to the death of a man found in an alley way near the 700 block of Ferguson Avenue Friday evening.

Police were dispatched to the scene after a person down call.

The victim was found bleeding in a silver Chevy Impala.

A Montgomery County Coroner’s office investigator was called to the scene at 9 p.m.

The coroner's office could not release any information regarding the victim’s identity.
