For those who shop and work at the plaza on Burkhardt Road, the lingering trash brings about worry of the health implications.
The problem started when the public began dumping trash in a privately paid for dumpster. When the dumpster was removed to remedy this issue, the garbage didn't stop.
Tenants of the plaza wanted to know why the landlord had yet to take action, as the problem was ongoing.
As of Friday, the landlord says he'll be working to get the mess cleaned up and is issuing a fine, of up to $500, for anyone caught discarding personal garbage
