Kettering OKs $4.3M performing arts center for Alter High School

The city of Kettering Planning Commission unanimously approved a request from Alter High School that would allow the school to begin construction on $4.3 million performing arts center.

The project includes an extension to the school at 940. E. David Rd.

Alter has reached 80 percent of its goal to fund the project and is still asking for donations. An artists rendering on the school’s web page shows the new wing named the Christine Connor and Fred J. Miller Conservatory of the Arts.

The project is scheduled to break ground some time this year.
