LovelighT Circle surprised a non-profit organization, Angels for Anna, with an over-sized, $1,000 check Saturday morning at the Oakwood Starbucks.

Angels for Anna was formed by a couple whose daughter died of a heart condition in 2012 and the two have since been distributing care packages to parents of hospitalized children.

The packages contain hygiene items, comfortable clothing for their time at the hospital and a blanket.

LovelighT Circle kept the recipient of their first grant a secret until the presentation was made.

The group was formed in August following the Oregon District mass shooting by friends and family of Logan Turner, one of the shooting victims.

Turner's parents, Mike and Kathy Turner presented the check.

Executive Director Betsy Westhafer says they received an anonymous donation of $4,000, which will allow the group to give multiple grants to non-profits.

Westhafer says she's "blown away by the people in this LovelighT community."
