For the twelfth year in a row, volunteers of the Dayton community came together in support of children who won't be spending Christmas at home.
Bears for Children is a Build-A-Bear Workshop event, whose mission is to ensure no child be alone while spending the holidays in the hospital.
Tuesday morning at the Mall at Fairfield Commons, volunteers like Tammy Bondurant and her four children purchased and built bears that would later be delivered to children in need of company.
"It's been a rough year for Dayton, so it makes it a fun way to help out those who are having a rough time right now," Bondurant told News Center 7’s Ronnell Hunt.
Volunteers said they felt the event was yet another way to be Dayton Strong.
