Water boil advisory issued for village in Champaign County

UPDATE @ 3:37 p.m.: The boil advisory in Christiansburg has been lifted, according to Water Superintendent Scott Taylor.

The advisory was lifted around noon Monday.

INITIAL REPORT: The Village of Christiansburg is under a water boil advisory due to depressurization that took place during internal maintenance on a water tower.

The advisory was issued Sunday morning by water superintendent Scott Taylor.

Taylor said the advisory was issued as a precaution and will be in effect until further notice.
