Shoppers leery of using credit cards and bank accounts online can still shop at Amazon using cash.

Amazon’s new payment method allows shoppers to go to a participating retailers and pay cash that will instantly be transferred to the user’s gift card balance. Shoppers must have an Amazon account and cell phone to use Amazon Cash.

Dozens of stores in the Dayton area are participating retailers, including some of the following: CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, X-treme Wireless, Allied Communications, Love's, Warsaw Wireless, Casey's General Stores, Cliffbrook, Fastlink Wireless and Game Stop. Shoppers will need their phone number or barcode associated with their account to add between $5 and $500 at a time.
