Ephrem said slow business and difficulty in hiring and retaining servers and kitchen employees were factors in the restaurant closing. The restaurant owner said he is negotiating with potential operators of a restaurant that would reopen in the space. The successor restaurant’s name and concept haven’t been determined.
House of Kabab opened in October 2010, offering Mediterranean-style appetizers, soups, salads, pita sandwiches, dinner platters and desserts, available for dine-in or carryout. The restaurant seats about 50, and has a patio.
