The agricultural education degree was created in response to a growing demand for agriculture teachers in Ohio, according to Central State. There are more than 300 agriculture educational programs in Ohio high schools, according to CSU.
The new exercise science degree will focus on sports performance, clinical exercise physiology, organizational health and wellness, according to the school. Graduates of the exercise science program will be trained and certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, among other organizations.

“These two degrees will prepare our graduates for jobs in growing fields, where trained professionals are needed,’’ said Pedro Martinez, CSU provost and vice president for academic affairs. “By adding degrees that address industry needs, we continue to prepare Central State students to contribute to Ohio’s workforce and to the economic development of the state.”
