Central State University is working on updating multiple parts of campus this summer and into next spring.

Central State University is in the middle of completing more than 10 campus projects totalling more than $20 million.

This summer CSU is repairing roads and sidewalks to the tune of $1.8 million while updating residence halls and Williamson Hall.

The residence hall updates, which will cost $750,000 will address general maintenance needs, while $750,000 in renovations to Williamson Hall includes complete overhauls to the third and fourth floors as well as roof and flooring replacements, bathroom updates and general repairs, among other things, according to CSU.

The university is on track to complete a $2.1-million renovation of Emery Hall by December. That renovation, which started last month, will include upgrades to heating and cooling systems, office spaces, among other aspects, according to CSU.

Central State also recently completed the first phase of renovations to its Hallie Q. Brown Memorial Library. The $3 million improvements included renovations, roof repairs and heating and cooling upgrades.

Central State’s library will get another $5 million in updates, that will partially aim to modernize the library. Those upgrades will begin in the spring of 2018, according to the university.
