Charges dropped against Huber Heights doctor accused of rape

Charges against Huber Heights doctor Robert Hunter have been dropped, according to court records.

According to court officials, the victim in the case testified Monday morning and the charges were dropped against Hunter, with no jury having been selected in the case.

The case stems from a July 15, 2015, incident at Taylorsville MetroPark off Bridgewater and East National roads, according to a report, which stated a male suspect met the victim in the park.

MetroParks rangers began its investigation after Dublin Methodist Hospital in the Columbus area forwarded a rape kit to the agency, the report stated.

Hunter, 46, was arrested last July at his medical practice, 8701 Old Troy Pike in Huber Heights, by Five Rivers MetroParks rangers. At that time during an arraignment, Hunter entered a not guilty plea to the charges.

Hunter was indicted in December by a Montgomery County grand jury on four counts of felony rape and one count each of kidnapping and abduction. He previously posted a $100,000 bond.
