Officers with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Summit Fire & EMS and Keystone Resort employees helped remove the moose from a 5-foot window well at a private home in Keystone, the Summit Daily reported.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers tranquilized the moose, and firefighters set up a pulley system to lift the animal, who weighed between 800 and 1,000 pounds, the newspaper reported.

According to Steve Lipsher of Summit Fire & EMS, the moose was freed around 2 a.m. Sunday and was awakened with a counteractive agent, the Summit Daily reported.

The animal was not injured and ambled away “on his moose-like way,” Lipsher told the newspaper.
