Schlosser was born in Akron on Nov. 12, 1922, and rose to become the first female civilian with the U.S. Air Force to reach the super-grade level, as a member of the Senior Executive Service, when she retired in 1979, according to her obituary.
She then continued her heavy involvement in the community, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Greater Dayton United Way and the Board of Advisors of the Wright State University Women's Center, among other roles.
She will be interred next to her husband in Palm Robart Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
