The 17-year-old charged with one count of complicity to commit murder, is being held in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. He is expected to be arraigned in juvenile court early this week, said Gutman, who declined to say how the teen allegedly was involved.
“We believe he was complicit in the act and because of the continuing investigation of the case, we’re not going to be releasing more specifics,” Gutman said.
Another suspect, 18-year-old Khrendon D. Gray of Springfield Twp., is in the Butler County Jail on $1 million bond following his arrest late Thursday. He was arraigned Friday morning on one count of murder in county Area III Court in West Chester Twp.
Robinson, described as a popular honor roll student, bled to death after she was stabbed once in the back, with the knife blade penetrating her heart, said Butler County Coroner Dr. Richard Burkhardt.
West Chester Twp. police reponding to a “large fight” at the apartment complex found Robinson lying in the street at Triangle Drive and West Wind Court with a stab wound. She was rushed to Mercy Hospital Fairfield, where she was pronounced dead.
Police have not said whether they recovered the weapon used to kill Robinson, nor whether any other arrests are expected from the disturbance that witnesses reported may have involved as many as 40 people.
