Police investigating after Dayton Target bomb threat

Miami Township police are investigating after a bomb threat was called at Target near the Dayton Mall last night.

Police dogs and bomb-sniffing dogs responded and cleared the building, according to Captain John Magill.

As of now, police have not identified any suspects.

Police bomb-sniffing dogs searched a Target near the Dayton Mall after a caller threatened that there were four packages set to explode inside the store.

The dogs were unable to find any explosives, according to Miami Township police.

A bomb threat tonight has forced the evacuation of a Target store near the Dayton Mall in Miami Twp.

Someone called in the threat around 10 p.m. to Target, 2300 Miamisburg Centerville Road. The threat indicated there were four packages inside the store that would be detonated, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

Police taped off the area and closed nearby roads as a precaution.

Police were awaiting bomb-sniffing dogs to search the building.
