When Sawitke spotted police, he ran through the dining room and knocked into other guests and had to be subdued with a Taser, police said.

Medics and all available officers responded to the Italian restaurant after one officer accidentally activated a “signal 99” call for officer in need of assistance.

Sawitke is next scheduled to appear Friday for a preliminary hearing in Kettering Municipal Court.
