The woman said she was awakened by a loud bang, went to investigate, then saw her Christmas tree knocked down and two men attempting to steal her living room television, according to a Dayton police report.

One of the burglars pushed her and grabbed a PlayStation console on his way to the rear bedroom. The woman grabbed the other burglar to keep him from fleeing, but he began to cut her arm and face with a pocket knife demanding to be released, the report says.

After breaking free, he followed the other thief and picked up the bedroom TV. The woman reportedly went in after him, grabbed the cord of the TV and struggled with the burglar.

The men eventually escaped through the bedroom window to the backyard and were out of sight when the woman ran outside, the report says. The two ran off with the console but left the television in the backyard.
