Centerville man accused of making 180 child porn images, videos pleads guilty

A 34-year-old Centerville man accused of making more than 180 images and videos of child porn pleaded guilty charges in a U.S. District Court Monday morning, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Marek K. Grigsby pleaded guilty to producing child pornography and producing obscene images of the sexual abuse of children.

Grigsby sexually abused a victim, who was 5 and 6 years old during the time, and created child porn of the abuse, according to court documents.

He reportedly also made obscene images with a second 5-year-old victim.

Between the two victims, Grigsby made 54 videos and 137 images, according to the DOJ.

Creating child porn is a federal crime with a sentencing range of 15 to 30 years in prison. Producing obscene images of children can carry a sentence of five to 20 years.

Grigsby will be required to register as a sex offender and faces a possible lifetime of supervision, according to the DOJ.
