UPDATE@7:15 p.m.: A 20-year-old daughter told a Clark County official she had been physically and emotionally abused in her home.

That report, made to Developmental Disabilities of Clark County in June, prompted an investigation and the filing of charges against the woman's parents.

Monday night, Jeffrey Brooks, was still being sought on an arrest warrant issued when he didn't show for court.

Melissa Travis, who did appear for court, was sent home on her promise to return to future court dates in the case.

According to the indictment, both are accused of compelling their daughter into engaging in sexual activity.

EARLIER: An arrest warrant has been issued for a man as part of an investigation into allegations that his developmentally disabled adult daughter is being compelled into prostitution.

Jeffrey Brooks, 45, of Selma Road in Springfield, failed to appear at his arraignment in Clark County Common Pleas Court on Friday, police said.
