Richard Bruce Leet, 57, was ordered to have no contact with the victim, should he be bonded out of jail. He is pleading not guilty in the case.

A Dayton man who allegedly stole a minivan with a 3-month-old baby inside is scheduled to be arraigned this morning.

Richard Bruce Leet, 57, stole the minivan just before midnight May 8 from the Clark Oil gas station at 1655 N. Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton, police said.
A woman who said she was babysitting the child when the minivan was stolen, called 911 to report the theft.
“He just pulled off in my car,” the woman yelled to dispatchers. “It’s a baby in the car.”
Police found the minivan and the baby a short time later, and Leet was arrested the following day.

The baby was not harmed, officials said.
Leet was indicted Friday on two counts of kidnapping and one count each of abduction and grand theft (motor vehicle), all felony charges; and a misdemeanor count of interference with custody.
Leet has been held in the Montgomery County Jail since his arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
