Gibson admitted to using a firearm during a crime of violence, a release from U.S. Attorney David M. DeVillers of the Southern District of Ohio stated.

Gibson made previous threats to the postal worker, which caused a prior suspension of mail delivery to his home, Department of Justice officials said previously, citing court records.

He remains in the Montgomery County Jail, where he has been held since his Jan. 5 arrest by Dayton police.

His sentencing has not yet been scheduled. He faces a minimum of 10 years up to life in prison.
