Dayton police looking for 2 men in separate robbery incidents

Police are looking for a man who robbed a store Sunday morning.

Family Dollar, 1130 N. Main St., was robbed at 9:01 a.m., according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

The robber is described as a 6-foot-0 male with a thin build wearing a dark gray jacket with a hood, unknown color jeans and a black face mask.

He didn’t display a weapon, but threatened an employee and stole $200 before fleeing south on Main Street.

A few minutes later at 9:04 a.m., another attempted robbery was reported at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1501 E. Third St., dispatch said.

The robber is described as a 6-foot-0 to 6-foot 2 male wearing a black hoodie and light gray shorts. He was last seen heading west on Third Street.

Nothing was stolen and he didn’t display a weapon.
